Sheep are easy to take care of and are inexpensive to feed. Their offspring are raised to maturity and sold at the market. This helps a family pay school fees, potentially for all of their children, and have the income they need to have regular meals. Sheep can produce up to 6 kids per year! Your gift will cover half the cost of a sheep for a needy family.
The Kisoro community is ready to do its part! School staff trains families on how to care for their sheep, and regularly checks up on them. Families will provide food for their animals and ensure they are vaccinated. They are also encouraged to give at least one offspring to another family in need. This process continues with every family, so your gift continues to multiply!
For every share of a sheep you purchase, you receive the 4×6 card, shown below, to show your support for Kisoro Kids. Cards can be made out in honor of someone and given as a gift!
